India offers multiple e-Visa types: 30-Day (single entry), 1-Year (multiple entries), and 5-Year (multiple entries). Choose based on your travel frequency and validity needs. Each type has different stay durations and approval timelines.
Most applications are processed within 72 hours. However, in some cases, processing can take up to 5 business days. We recommend applying at least one week before your travel date to ensure timely approval.
Your passport photo must be a recent color photograph, 2x2 inches in size, taken within the last 6 months. It should have a white background, show your full face, and meet biometric standards. Digital copies in JPG or PNG format are accepted.
e-Visas cannot be extended. However, if you need to stay longer, you can apply for a regular tourist visa at the nearest Indian embassy or consulate once in India, or apply for a new e-Visa before your current one expires.
e-Visa holders can enter India through designated airports and seaports. Major entry points include New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and others. You cannot enter through land borders with an e-Visa.
